A backup plan should identify the systems and records that matter, how often they are copied, where they are stored, and who can restore them. A file existing somewhere is not proof that the business can recover from a real incident.
Review administrator access, account recovery, updates, form data, database exports, and restore tests. Keep secrets outside public project files and document responsibilities without publishing credentials.
Before development or a major change, turn this idea into a clear operating agreement: define the people who use the process, the records that must remain trustworthy, the approval boundaries, and the result the business will review. A small pilot with real examples can reveal missing rules earlier than a large build and make later support, handover, and integration safer.
